SNAPSHOTS OF OUTER SPACE – SCRAPBOOK MEMORIES OF THE SPACE AGE

They beam back at us with happiness from another era – a boy on his front stoop in a space helmet, a girl flying her rocketship over the carnival midway, the proud owner of a rocket bicycle, the smiling occupant of a rocket wagon, Trick-or-Treaters in space and robot costumes that won’t come off till bedtime. These photographs are Space Age moments. Shot with Brownies and Polaroids, rarely centered, often out of focus, an occasional name scribbled on the back, these snapshots propel us across light years to the backyard of a distant world.

We have an extensive photograph collection, please contact us if you are interested in learning about additional photo exhibit topics.
